Our Story

Our History

Divine River Church was founded in 2007 by a group of elders headed by Pastor Pasteur Kavuma. The inaugural Sunday service was held on 16 September 2007 at Nabweru Community Hall and was attended by 45 members and visitors. Since then, the church has grown physically and spiritually. By October 2023, the church had established its own premises and reported about 200 members, excluding children.

Statement of faith

Our Belief

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, died, buried, rose on the third day, ascended to heaven, seated at the Father's right hand, and coming again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, water baptism by immersion, communion of saints, forgiveness of sins, resurrection of the dead, and life everlasting. Amen.
